Stars....

I'm still loving the pretty winter flowering bulbs which
have been happily blooming all around my workroom
and this one was a particularly lovely surprise
as I was expecting white flowers
(instead little bursts of pink stars magically appeared)
(Chrystal in her 'Starry' pinafore)

As winter approaches its end
it's been more than just a bit on the cold side here over
the last couple of weeks with even the odd flurry of snowflakes
and so I've enjoyed working on this little pattern while
keeping warm....made using gorgeous Shetland wool...
...happy in my crafty zone...

☆  'Starry Doll Pinafore'
Knitting Pattern

Custom made for a 13 - 14" Tearoom Yarn Doll
(a simple colourwork project which doesn't take long to knit)
will be available on Etsy in the next few days!
(followed by Ravelry and also here on the blog)

...and thank you Teresa!
I received this pretty little crochet heart
along with a beautifully handwritten note in the post
from lovely blog friend Teresa
who...as many of you know...lives a long way away in
simply stunning Oregon
(and who is also a wonderful artist and jewellery maker x)

(If you'd like to make your own little heart
you can download the crochet pattern free here
on Teresa's lovely heartwarming blog x)

(and my little heart is going to have it's own very special place here on my shelves)

 Doll Kits...
There will be more kits available here soon

Whoosh...

...and it's February....
now how did that happen?
Unlike many...it would seem...
...I do love the month of January...
...a whole new year stretching out ahead...
...soooo many possibilities...a time to make plans...
and it always flies by too quickly

...and I'm definitely loving bringing home
pots of pretty winter flowering bulbs
to brighten up the new shelves in my workroom
(lots of reorganising going on at the moment too ;) )
The snow on the roof just a few days ago created a
soft, luminous light which was just beautiful in here

...and as you can see at the top there
for anyone who has asked about the doll kits...
the Doll Kit Shop is open again....hurrah!
lots of lovely yarn adorning the shelves

The only doll not available at the moment
is Molly (top right) as two of her shades have completely sold out
but her kit should be ready again in the next week or so
and I'll update the page when that happens...

(Update...'Molly' Doll Kits are now available again here)

I hope you've had a great start to 2015
It's definitely lovely to 'open the doors' here again

A big thank you to everyone who visits

I've lots of blog reading to catch up on
(I'm feeling more than a little bit like the 'White Rabbit ;) )
so definitely looking forward to putting my feet up and visiting friends
.....see you very shortly... x

I 'll also be back soon with knitting news
and more.....Ah, yes......

Until then

  Take care

Magic moments....

(this little man likes sitting here)
Winter Mice
 at
The TEAROOM
Last year in my Christmas blog post I made a little Scandinavian inspired winter mouse
....she hadn't been planned and wasn't intended for a pattern at that time...
but I did receive many requests about her afterwards which continued through the year
❇ ...and so she's been on my 'to do' list for some time...
...but she's finally here along with her very loyal companion...
I love creating little people
there will always be something magical about it
sassi
with her red winter berry decorations
...snowball scarf and boots...
and wearing her favourite snowflake pinafore
❇ (woolly stockings too of course)
❇ lars
❇ On the day I chose his name
I received a message from a lovely customer from Norway
...of the very same name...
...so it really just had to be...
I love their softness
which I think make for the prettiest of mice
There are lots of pics, detail
and useful tips included in the pattern
This is the last of the mice series for the moment
but it has definitely been lots of fun to create
(apart from too many dark days which I can admit
resulted in some stamping of the feet...oh yes! :-)
Anyway, I can stop my preoccupation with the weather
for the moment and looking at those dark wintry skies
I'm very happy to say it's now available in my
ETSY Shop
and printed copies are available here
In the next few days it will be published
here on the blog and on Ravelry too
for those customers who like to save to their library
(Thank you so much to everyone who has already purchased
and for the lovely comments on my FB Page!)
❇ ❇
...and now I'm very excited
to be starting some new projects in
2014
I must say a big
thank you too in this post to
'Kindred Stitches Magazine'
for making
Mary Jane's Tearoom
their ETSY find for the 3rd issue
'Pretty in Blue'
This is a lovely new magazine which is
available here on the Apple Newsstand
to instantly download to I pad
All the pages have live links to
makers, projects, books, homeware
and also those craft supplies which can sometimes be hard to find
Technology is brilliant, isn't it?
(well...at least most of the time :-) )

The rest of my week here will be all about Christmas
...decorating...enjoying some xmas crafting..knitting...
...and picking up my hook again!
XX
I'm so looking forward to
my girls being home on Friday
...so much to catch up on...
and I want them to have the best Christmas
before returning back to uni
(3 whole weeks at home!)

Thank you for calling by
especially at such a busy time
I'll be posting again before Christmas but until then
wishing you lots of sparkly festive fun!

Take care
