Hello again....

First, I have to say thank you everyone for the kind comments on my last post
(which I've just realised was quite a while ago... where does time go these days?
I can't find the answer but it's definitely good to be here in my space again with you...x

During my time away I've received lots of messages about the
'Little Sock Yarn Bear Jackets'
...if the pattern is available...or if not when will it be published...

I can finally say that I plan to set up the listings tomorrow and it will be available
at some point in the next few days...and I'm really looking forward to sharing it x
There'll be an update here on the blog once it's available with all the important details and links.

In the mean time I hope you like the pics everyone
(one thing I've learned knitting all these little jackets is that sock yarns can be a little spooky...
there's definitely some magic woven in along with those colourful patterns!)

Wishing everyone a happy, crafty new week
full of all good things

(I'm looking forward to lots of visiting in the next few days and catching up with you ;-) )

Back (very) soon

Bear Yarn....

This week I've finally decided which yarn I'm going to use
for the Little Tearoom Bears knitting pattern worked 'flat and seamed'
(the 'in the round' versions are available here)
I've had many requests for the alternative method and so
if all goes well they will be available in the autumn
The plan is to update here on progress as I go along
I'm so looking forward to playing with lots of lovely colour
(hopefully the ideas in my head will work out as I'm expecting! x)

 ♥ ♥ ♥

I'm making several bears in different shades and will be
using a different yarn weight too meaning more ideas for everyone
(whichever is the preferred method to knit)
..and so...
this morning I've been busy in the workroom choosing shades
and ball winding...to the sound of the radio...definitely recommended...
(above are a few of the bear body shades I'm trying out)
...and you've seen my yarn swift before, haven't you?
Well, I still love it...very simple...practical...and time saving
...and it's constantly in use...
(I purchased both my yarn swift and ball winder on Amazon)

 ♥ ♥ ♥

Also, to mention today...
there are more lovely new shades of large loop mohair from
so many colour choices are now available in this beautiful yarn
I looked at many varieties of hair yarn when I created the
Dolls from the TEAROOM knitting pattern
and nothing came near to this for me
both in quality and the lovely range of shades available
...it's perfect for all kinds of doll making...
and I've found that it just becomes more lovely with time x
(also  EN71 Toy Safety Certified)

Have a lovely new week everyone
and
hApPy aUgUsT
...back soon...
(with more bear progress and other stories)
