A New Year ...

...but first a quick look back....
Above are the posts which emerged for my #2018bestnine on Instagram
It seems that it was the 'Year of the Dolls, Bears and Cats'!

An array of Winter Jackets from the
PDF Knitting Pattern
These are always a fun way to use up sock yarn leftovers

Thank you everyone for the kind comments left here on the blog
and the messages I received over the festive period.
It's always lovely to catch up at this time of year x

❤️

Do you have lots of new projects planned for 2019
or maybe you have a renewed determination to finish those still lingering from 2018?

I did my best to complete all unfinished personal projects before
Christmas although still need to block my sweater and have a crochet blanket to
complete which I hope to reacquaint myself with in the next couple of weeks
...I'm looking forward to picking up my hook again...
This week I've been tidying my photo library or at least have made a start.
I really need to make this a regular task through the year.
I'm also reorganising my books of which I now have endless shelves full
(they just continue to grow!) and I hope to work out a better system so that I can
find what I'm looking for at the time I actually need it!

...and of course, I'm enjoying making plans for new patterns...
...I have so many ideas whirling around...

This year also marks ten years of my ETSY shop!
It's hard to believe how those years have flown by.
totally unplanned, wonderful journey which I could never have predicted.
As a thank you to everyone who has passed through those small doors
there will be some celebrations later in the year x

❤️

Finally, for those who have asked often over the years,
I'm now also planning to start a Facebook or Ravelry group (or maybe both)
I just need to do a little more research before making a final decision 🙃
If you have any opinions or suggestions I'd love to hear! x

My favourite view from our window over Christmas
...misty, tranquil and ever beautiful Lake Windermere...

❤️

Best Wishes
for a Happy and Peaceful 2019 lovely blog friends

  6. Happy New Year, Susan! Congratulations on your Etsy shop anniversary. I'm not surprised you've done so well with it. I love your sweet knitting - the colors you play with creating delightful outfits for all your lovely dolls. When I see all the sweaters together, I imagine how sweet it would be to have all those sweaters in my own wardrobe. They look cozy and cheery. The view from your window is wonderful. I can imagine you taking a break with a cup of your favorite tea and lingering at the window daydreaming of the next patterns you'll create. Wishing you a prosperous and healthy 2019.

  7. Lovely pictures Susan. I’m excited if you start a group. I have more than one unfinished project from 2018. But due to back surgery I’ve been sidelined. But hoping 2019 will be more productive. I so look forward to your blogs. Happy New Year!!
