Baking Days...

Happy Baking Days
at
Hello friends....
I hope life is treating you well.
How will you be spending your weekend?

Ashley will be home from university
and we are celebrating Leah's exam results
(so much excitement!)
and so I am planning to do some extra special baking from
Mary Berry's
lovely cook book!

******
There are so many delicious cake recipes
to choose from here......
with wonderfully indulgent sounding names such as
'Death by Chocolate Cake'!
I will also be adding a touch of nostalgia
with some pretty butterfly cakes...
They always bring back memories of my grandma
'Mary Jane'
who made the most perfect cakes....
They never fail to spread some happiness
and are just
 too pretty to resist!

******
Do you have any new projects planned at the moment?
I am testing yarns for my new knitting pattern.
I still have the photographs to take and some more work to do on the text
but I am having great fun in the process and I will
keep you updated on my progress....
It hasn't been a great week in regard to good natural light for my photographs.
Maybe we will be luckier over the next few days
(although, it's not looking too promising in our corner of the
world this afternoon. ...the lights are on!)

******
Wishing you a lovely weekend ahead
and hoping the sun shines for you,

Until next time,

  3. You have the prettiest photos on your blog!! They make me smile because the colors are so gentle. Can you give us a hint what your next project is?

  4. I agree you have beautiful pictures and one of the prettiest blogs around. The cakes sound delicious but I am a rubbish cook unfortunately. I have just bought a set of Tunisian crochet hooks and want to teach myself how to use them this weekend.
    kind regards,
    Shirley

  10. mmmm love Mary Berry cakes, my Mum used to bake lots from her books. I also love the look of your new nautical project, I've been thinking of creating something for my Dad that loves boats, as we've just had some upsetting news. Love the boat you embroidered. Have a great weekend with the girls, Catherine x
