About MJT Patterns

All MJT knitting patterns on the tearoom website are sold in pdf format
for you to download, store on your computer and print off as required.
They are very easy to follow
and contain lots of photographs to help you complete your project.
Detailed information is provided about all original yarns used including ball band details and amounts required should you need or wish to to substitute yarns.

Standard double knitting yarn is used for the bodies
and 4 ply yarn for clothing. For more notes on my favourite yarns see here.
Basic stitches and techniques are used in all MJT toy patterns
including knit. purl, k2tog, skpo,
kfb, m1,ssk, casting on along an edge and the basic cast off.
There is a link to  Knitting Help on my homepage with videos explaining these techniques and also links for basic sewing techniques.
All MJT toy knitting patterns are worked flat using 2 straight knitting needles.

Some of the patterns include simple colourwork techniques in the form of intarsia or fair isle.
Here, colour charts are included which are designed to be easy to follow and
complete successfully, although you will need to have a basic understanding
of reading a chart.
The 'Primrose Rabbit ' pattern has an alternative design to the intarsia flower
in the form of a little corsage.

You will also find other useful information under 'Labels' on the homepage.
