Merry and Bright....

Happy Holidays
and best wishes for a wonderful
   2015

My workroom has been twinkling brightly over recent days
and today I'm looking forward to some relaxing time
sitting right there by the tree with my knitting needles
...Oh yes...and with a cup of good cheer too... x

❇ ❇

...but first...
I must show you my Xmas card from the
which I look forward to receiving every year
from a lovely customer and her own beautiful retired
greyhounds Millie and Tom who I know bring so much joy x

It's becoming a little tradition here
to add my link over the festive season
(and you can find more about the Trust's wonderful work here)

❇ ❇

(Ashley's Yule Log from one of Nigella's books was delicious... :-) )

❇ ❇

...and I'll be back in the New Year
to share lots of new projects...
...thank you to everyone for your cards and kind messages...
and for visiting my corner of Blogland through 2014 x

...until then....take care...

...enjoy the magic...

Chrystal...

'Chrystal'
A TEAROOM Doll
...made from beautiful Shetland Wool...
creating a well - structured doll with flexible limbs
My yarn swift has been a good friend this week...
...winding skeins for Chrystal's'doll hair' to add to her kits...
(found to be very relaxing and comes highly recommended :-) )
...warm and rich, coppery shades...
and I love the texture it's created for Chrystal's hair..
...now a  few important notes about
'Chrystal'...
1. Chrystal is the 'in the round' version of the original
'DOLLS from the TEAROOM' knitting pattern
2. Although the pattern uses only basic knitting stitches
experience of knitting 'in the round' is required
to work from the pattern.
2. She requires very little sewing as she is created using
double - pointed needles and small circular needles (optional)
...with only a handful of small openings
to close which are required for stuffing
...and her complete 'body length' is seamless...

3. Her Winter Pinafore and Tassel Hat require no sewing

4. For anyone who has the original
DOLLS from the TEAROOM
knitting pattern which is worked 'flat and seamed'
Chrystal can be created using these new yarn
shades and working from the plain knit sections for
each of the dolls in the original pattern...
(she will magically turn out to be the same doll :-) )
5.'Chrystal' Doll Kits will be available on
the 'Doll Kits' page after Christmas week

Thank you  ...
to everyone who has purchased
'TEAROOM Doll' Kits recently either online or at the
'Knitting and Stitching' Shows
and for your lovely feedback which has made me feel that
there should definitely be more kits available in the future
(they have travelled to all corners of the globe!)
I've had major problems with my computer recently
and actually don't even have my own at the moment
which did set me back in completing this pattern
...but...
I'm very happy with Chrystal and hope everyone who purchases her
will enjoy creating her as much as I did
...at this moment she's sitting in my workroom
watching me decorate my tree ♡...

Chrystal: A TEAROOM Doll
is now available...
here on ETSY
here on Ravelry (to save to your library)

and in the coming days
will be available here on the Blog...
(the pattern also includes other ideas for boot decorations)

 ...and as always...

I'm available if any help is needed x

♡   ♡

I hope all your Christmas preparations are
going according to plan
and thank you for finding the time to visit
at this busy time!

I'm also hoping to be back in the next few days
...so until then...
...have fun...
...keep cosy...
or enjoy the sunshine
...wherever you may be...
