Saying it with flowers.........

Good afternoon everyone..
Have you had a good week?
Misty autumnal mornings have been enjoyed here
but often they have turned dark and blustery as the days have progressed....
....not the best weather for crafting and taking photographs!
Lots of pretty flowers in jugs have definitely brightened up
our house and spread a little cheeriness around the place..
they never fail to work their magic!
I'm loving my new fabrics too...
the floral design is from
Liberty's  Bloomsbury Gardens
...such a beautiful collection.
and the second is
Michael Miller's Little Elephants
both purchased from a new favourite shop
~♥~
The gorgeous Liberty prints are inspiring me
to make some pretty tea dresses!
I've always been a fan of their fabrics but
I'm suddenly in love with Liberty!
So tea dresses are now on my ever growing 'to-do' list...
It's good to dream though, isn't it?
My blocks have been sewn into rows and now the rows need to
be sewn together making my quilt top complete
and ready for adding the border...
I did start rotating the blocks the wrong way for some reason...
(due to my terrible sense of direction I think!)
but I'm finally on the right road I'm happy to say.
I tried to take some pics of my progress yesterday but due to the
terrible light the lovely strawberry reds
were turning out very odd indeed developing a strange orangey tint
so will try again on a better day...the one above
was a quick click as I decided to give up and put my camera away
but strangely it was the best of my attempts...always the way
(must add the dress is on my mannequin and not me!
I don't dress like that when I'm working....
Ah....but I so like the idea!)
....and still I have to photograph my last quilt but it's so large that
I've now decided to try and photograph it in situ on the bed!

Other news....
Oh yes, I was so lucky to be one of the winners in
lovely blog friend Helen's beautiful Giveaway!
which included these gorgeously pretty treats...
such a happy parcel to receive from my postman!
A beautiful handmade pincushion and gift tag
made by Helen
and a card of Cath Kidston buttons
So lovely indeed!
You can visit Helen through the link here
It's such a treat and I always look forward to my visits
You're sure to be inspired !
Thank you Helen x

Also, if you remember my beautiful bag charm
made by Jane in the last post.....
due to the technical problems I was having at the time
I didn't manage to show you the card I also received
...lovingly handmade by Jane herself...
Jane's cards are beautiful and it was an
extra surprise to receive one myself
as I have long since been an admirer of them
and I always enjoy seeing new themes on her lovely blog ...
Okay, now I'm going to send everyone over to Jane's ETSY shop
to clear the shelves and make her very happy...
here's the link!
(Please don't forget to come back though!)

It's so lovely to have crafty makes by dear
blog friends decorating my workroom..
.I may move in there completely soon.
I'm loving my space maybe a little too much!
I'm sure you can see too that my lucky run (unusual for me!)
means it really is time again to return the kindness
with my Autumn Giveaway....

Lots of cosying up our house over the next few days...
time for the summer bedding to be stored away..
I do love this time of year!

Thank you for calling by everyone...
