Handmade Gift Tags
for
MJT Hand Knits
Hello everyone...
The sun has definitely disappeared around here!
I hope you are having some better weather in your parts...
I have had so much trouble taking my photos this week
....my camera has been constantly by my side
waiting for any possibility of catching a few images...
and those moments have been very fleeting!
~~~
I thought you might like to see these little sets of handmade gift tags
I have designed for MJT creations....
A mini version of our tearoom from one of my illustrations
 complete with bunting, 'OPEN' sign,' Ice Cream for Sale' stand,
hanging basket and candy pole...
and available soon in my ETSY shop...
(as soon as I get the listing together!)
Pretty satin ribbon...
They are decorated with 3mm wide double sided satin ribbon
in plaster pink or pale duck egg and the reverse side is left blank
for a personal message.
In reality, the detail is very clear and you can even see the candy stripe
chairs and flowers on the table...
I think they will add a pretty and unique finishing touch..
and some lovely alpaca yarns...
(Left to right)
King Cole Baby Alpaca DK (Camel)
Artesano 100% Alpaca DK (Biscuit)
Alpaca Select Cusco Natural DK (Light Camel)
All good alternatives to use in MJT patterns and a range of prices
The King Cole and Alpaca Select yarns are good alternative shades for
BO and Anika...
Nautical Days at MJT..
Decisions...
Making the final yarn choices for a new pattern is never an easy task....
Looking once again through an array of colours yesterday morning
(and being in love with too many!)
making that final decision was becoming ever more difficult...
too much yarny loveliness by far!
Then, during my regular trip around Flickr...
(I love to see how others view the world, don't you?)
this beautiful vintage illustration almost jumped off the page.....
as though I was being given a nod in the right direction..
clarifying my muddled thoughts...
Suddenly and unexpectedly a decision is made.....
all the thought processes finally come together....hurray!
Red, white and blue…
And so...
I am keeping to the nautical theme...
and will be using my ''TEAROOM Mice'mood board
which you may remember from here
to keep me on the right path!
Variety is the spice of life!
I have been thinking too...
we need some more male company around here!
...I promise to restore the balance friends...
Stealing quiet moments….
Away from my Seafaring Adventures...
it's so nice to put the feet up every now and again...
with several cups of strong tea and a few entertaining reads...
especially my favourite blogs...bursting with all that creative energy!
So much talent...truly wonderful...
It’s the small things…
Mr.H brought 'Mollie Makes' home for me too...
a lovely surprise as I missed the first edition
He's a good one....knows me so well!
I can't think of a better way to spend the afternoon....
Wishing you sunshine and blue skies
until next time
Some MJT Pretties on the way...
Hello frends both old and new!
How are you?...
Is life being good to you?...I do hope so!
I have some news about new additions today...
~~~
I have been asked on several occasions if I sold 'sew in' labels
to add to finished MJT little creations....
They have been on my ever growing  'to-do' list
and I am happy to say that they will be available in our
 within the next few days!
They are lovely high quality woven labels made here in the U.K and I think
they will make a lovely finishing touch ...
They can be sewn in 'loop style' into the back seam
(ideal for hanging on nursery wall/ door hooks when in your 'tidy up' mode!)
or sewn on flat across the back of the body/jumper/breeches....
 ...the choice is yours...
Smaller labels for the mice will hopefully be listed next week...
and these will be embroidered with the words
 'MJT Hand Knits'
I have also designed some card tags
which have a little illustration on them and are tied
with pretty pastel coloured twine to add to MJT handmade gifts...
Have you ever wondered what our little tearoom looks like?
I will be back in a few days with an update...
Wishing you a lovely weekend
full of all good things...
